Karen Byford

Karen is originally from New Zealand but has lived here for 13 years. Karen has been a Practitioner of Pilates for 10 years having studied through the Pilates Institute in London and is also qualified in Pre and Post Natal Pilates, Small equipment, Foam roller, Pilates Circle and Small balls.  Karen also has qualifications in Pilates Reformer.

Karen is also qualified in Physical Therapy and uses these skills in her classes and also with her Personal Training clients in their Rehabilitation. Karen was introduced to Pilates during her Body Building Training way back in year 2000.  She tried her first class and realised what had been missing from her overall training.  Since then her training goals have changed but the constant now is Pilates.

Karen’s fascination with Pilates is from the detail and how it can affect your overall shape by making small changes to your routines but also how it can affect your overall training results.
