WHAT IS IT?

The kettlebell can be described as a ‘cannonball with a handle attached’. They come in different weights and sizes from 8kg to 48 kg! It is the number 1 handheld gym in the world.

WHY DO IT?

Kettlebell movements, when taught correctly, use lots of muscles at the same time. While you are using lots of muscle groups and joints you are also strenghthening your core musculature at the same time, therefore giving your back the best chance of staying strong and healthy whilst promoting joint mobility and overall fitness.

WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING IS IT?

Kettlebell training is resistance basesd, due to the ballistic type of movements such as the ‘swing’, ‘high pull’ and ‘snatch’ your heart and lungs also get a workout. This improves your cardio-respiratory system and raises your metabolism and burns calories hours after the workout. As it is resistance based it is also an effective deterrent against osteoporosis.

CAN I DO IT?

You must be injury free to partake in a kettlebell class. However Kettlebells are not restricted to certain people and can be used by both men and women of almost all ages. The Core Studio’s experienced traines will be able to easily give you a training program suited to your level of fitness.

Not everyone wants to build themselves into a fountain of muscle. With Kettlebells you can push to build muscle mass or use them to easily effectively tone your body and promote lean muscle mass. HOW LONG DO I DO KETTLEBELLS FOR?

Kettlebells are the perfect bodybuilding tool to enhance your physique. Due to the nature of them a class is typically 40 minutes long. Yes, that right, quick, short, sharp and give results!! We recommend for the best results that you train with kettlebells 2/3 times per week.
